About me...

My name is Jacques Mostert (jayx); I am a freelance web & graphic designer; I have been operating independantly since 2005 and this is my online portfolio.

My first encounter with the world of design and all things related came in the form of a small, independant Garden Route news agency that was responsible for possibly the most successful advertisement driven newspapers and magazines in the Garden Route.

I went solo when the company was sold and decided on a change of focus towards the web side of things and haven't looked back. I design, I code, I teach, I network, I collaborate ... I really enjoy what I do for a living.

About this site...

This is the umpteenth revamp of my portfolio website and the next one is already underway - I will be using WordPress for the next iteration.

I have toyed with some new tricks and (although I still support older browsers for commercial websites) I have dropped support for IE6 on this site, so some of the bits might fall off. If you are still using IE6 or older, it is really time you consider upgrading to any of these FREE browsers...
