Oh The Whining And The Bitching
Why is it that the same people are always whining and bitching about the same old crap … are they bored or just ungrateful?
Facebook recently revamped the profile homepage and almost everyone is up in arms. Let’s be fair, Facebook doesn’t just decide to revamp at a whim, but I suppose it was to be expected, given the reaction of some Facebook users to the previous revamp. I don’t get why people think they have a right to bitch and moan about changes to a FREE platform that has added value to the lives of every single user. Facebook even put up a preview some two weeks before the launch, granting everyone an opportunity to provide input and, given their reaction to the whole Terms and Conditions debacle, I am sure that they take these to heart and will implement some of the useful suggestions.
It’s not just Facebook though … WordPress plug-ins, Google, Twitter – there’s always someone complaining and/or being downright rude. Why not take all that negative energy, switch the polarity and put it to good use. Almost all these platforms have a means for engaging the developers and for you, the unhappy user of a FREE platform, to make suggestions that might have a positive impact before you run to your desk and tweet what a load of shit the new Facebook homepage is, and (if you really don’t like it that much) you can always just leave/delete your account/unsubscribe/go to hell …

It’s much easier to make negative commentary than positive commentary, and people are naturally averse to change – that combo unfortunately often results in more complaints than compliments.

Aha, age old question. I think people get a sense of ownership and have a serious dislike of change. Although you are right to a degree, there are some validity in the complaints. For example, I use quite a bit of Facebook Groups. With the new interface, I cannot for the life of me figure out where to find groups anymore, other than through search. It is painful for me and pisses me off so I’ll bitch.
Anyways, I don’t particularly like Facebook so their changes don’t really matter much to me other than not finding groups

@stii Groups can be found on the taskbar in the footer where it’s always been for me, but your setup might be different.

Thx man, will check it out. I don’t usually look there. I cannot really say that I’ve looked much at the taskbar at all apart from switching off the chat
